Mr Chandika is a famous TV producer and drama director at ITN (Independent Television Network) in Sri Lanka, who has received many awards for his work. He has been invited as a special guest representing Sri Lanka for the year 2017 edition of the ABU Robocon, a contest of robots organized by the Japanese public television network NHK. Several teams of undergraduates in engineering from a dozen countries in Asia are competing against each other, designing and programming a robot for a specific task decided before the event.
