The Sri Lanka festival has taken place in Tokyo at Symbol Promenade Park at the end of September. The festival is the main event organized by the Sri Lankan community in Japan each year to promote cultural and commercial relations between Sri Lanka and Japan, with artistic performances, food stands and booths for tourism companies or associations. As a prominent member of the Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan, RamaDBK president, Mr Jagath Ramanayake, is always giving full support to the Sri Lanka Festival.
This year, RamaDBK has not only sponsored the event with a financial donation but the company has also sold some raffle tickets for further support to the festival. During the event, some staff from RamaDBK were there to help and to represent RamaDBK, as major exporter of vehicles to Sri Lanka.
The SLBCJ (Sri Lanka Business Council in Japan), the association of Sri Lankan business people in Japan, linked to the Sri Lanka embassy, has sent two thank letters to RamaDBK president, Mr Ramanayake, thanking him for sponsoring the Sri Lanka festival and for having some tickets sold before the event for the grand raffle draw.
