Toyota is launching a promising new hybrid SUV called the C-HR at the end of year 2016. C-HR stands for Coupe-High Rider.
The new car, which is the first compact hybrid SUV from Toyota, has made a strong impression with its sharp design when it was shown for the first time in the Paris Motor Show in year 2014. It will be a tough competitor for other models like the Nissan Juke, the Honda HR-V or the Mazda CX-3.
The 1.2 liter turbocharged engine generates a power output of85kw for a performance of 185 Nm of torque.
Depending on the market, the car would be available in several configurations: front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, six-speed manual transmission or CVT. A sporty model with bigger 18 inches alloy wheels should also come on the market soon.
The most remarkable feature in the interior of the C-HR is a 6.1 inches touchscreen infotainment display on the middle of the dashboard.
The C-HR would exist in eight different colors, including a vivid red, ice blue or green and wild-looking yellow.
