Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Mr Ranil Wickremesinghe, has come in Japan this week for 5 days on the invitation of Mr Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan. The talks with the Japanese government were mostly about infrastructure development and maritime security, but also about extending trade relations between both countries.
On Monday October 5th, Mr Wickremesinghe has met with the Sri Lankan business community in Japan at the Imperial Hotel in the centre of Tokyo. RamaDBK CEO, Mr Jagath Ramanayake, was present during the speech of the Prime Minister and had a discussion with him afterwards about ways to increase bilateral business activity between Sri Lanka and Japan. Mr Ramanayake is involved in the Sri Lankan business associations in Japan and has been promoting commercial relations between the two countries for more than 20 years.
