The Chief Operating Officer of Sampath Bank, the third biggest private bank in Sri Lanka, awarded the title of “bank of the year” from the Financial Times in year 2010, has come to Japan to visit the Sri Lankan business community at the Sri Lanka Festival held last month in Tokyo. Used vehicle importers, private or companies, are using the services of banks, as Sampath Bank, when they import cars from Japan, and that trade has been growing regularly in the past few years. That is why the Chief Operating Officer of Sampath Bank wanted to get first hand knowledge about the used car export business in Japan. He has chosen to visit RamaDBK, a prominent exporter of cars, trucks and buses to Sri Lanka. RamaDBK CEO, Mr Ramanayake has welcomed him in the office and a sales representative specialist of Sri Lanka market, Mr. Udana, has explained him the whole process, from buying the vehicle in auction until the final delivery in Sri Lanka.
