President of RamaDBK was invited for the get together meeting and party organized by ALT and JUMVEA on 3rd of August 2013. For this function Mr. M. Somasena the coordinating officer (Counselor – Commercial of Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan) was invited as the guest of honor and SLAEAJ members also were invited. Mr. Naigel the president and Mr. Steve Furukubo made their speech on behalf of AIMS Company.
In his speech Mr. Somasena explained about the Sri Lanka government policies about the Japanese used vehicles imports. Mr. Jagath Ramanayake the president of RamaDBK made his speech and explained how the SLAEAJ association was made and the achievements during the past two years while contributing to the vehicle trade. Also he thanked the Sri Lankan ambassador H.E Wasantha Karannagoda for identifying the needs of the trade. Furthermore he explained about the membership support is very important to elaborate industrial solutions in vehicle trade.

The Bangladesh govt. has relax the import duty last fiscal year & good news to kept 5 years import allowed. The custom duty will calculate as per year 2008~2012. In fact there is no depreciation 2012/2013 year Model vehicles. The main problem is Cc bar has no withdrawn & some of limited vehicles we can be import. As the Fact the Price of those vehicles for BGD are very high price in Japan. We will hope the Japan market will be decrease their local price for BGD importers.
