The history of our company (RAMADBK) runs as far back as 1988 and completes its
fifteen years this year 2003. As a young boy of 21 years, I was the pioneer of
this dwell-established company, now hosted in our own building in Shin Koyasu in
Yokohama. This is only 20 mins drive from Tokyo ・capital of Japan. When I
started in 1988, I have to face the big challenge of building a market for used
and recondition vehicles in Sri Lanka. That time, vehicles trade was conducted
completely by Japanese shippers in Japan. It was a little different for me to
change the Sri Lankan mind to buy Japanese vehicles from Sri Lanka. But I
managed to build up a sense of responsibility and trust among them.
Gradually, I became successful in getting the biggest share in the economy of
vehicles exports in Japan. Thus, under my leadership and guidance, RAMADBK Ltd
Company had its gradual
climb to achieve a distinguished name, not only in Sri Lanka but in most parts
of the world with the introduction of computer and globalization, things were
made easy. The Internet became our platform for vehicle trade. Through our

www.ramadbk.com daily we walk through miles and miles around the globe. We have
made it very easy for anybody, who has an access to computer to select and
import a vehicle to his taste. It covers the pictures, details and prices of
most of the vehicles in our yard and the person need not go to Japan to buy his
dream- vehicle. RAMADBK is managed by a staff of about 40 people, which includes
different nationalities as well. There are officers who are fluent is
Singhalese, English, Japanese, Tamil, Malay and Russian.
The members of the company have daily meeting in the morning and are updated
with necessary information, so that everyone are aware of their duties for the
day. As the President of RAMADBK, I am very proud to say that our staff is very
dedicated and co-operative and I thank them for their excellent service. After I
married in 1996, I am lucky to get a wife who could change my house in Japan to
a real home, filled with love and happiness. She works for the company in sales
division as well. The last but not least, I must take this opportunity to thank
President Aihara, who is like a father for the last 15 years and protected me,
advised me and helped me in business and everywhere necessary. Our website
