The New Suzuki Wagon R and Wagon R Stingray have just been launched in Japan.
The next generation Suzuki Wagon R is based on a new “heartect” platform, and the style of the body has also been changed also. The different models can be recognized by the design of the front of the vehicle: The front bumper and the 2 parts front grille of the Suzuki Wagon R gasoline engine and hybrid are slightly different, with also a chrome bar across the grille of the hybrid version. The Stingray shows a single piece front grille with LED headlamps on each side. Yet, the profile of all three model is identical.
The Suzuki Wagon R is offered either with a gasoline engine only or else with a mild-hybrid system using gasoline and also an electric motor. A turbo charged more powerful engine will also be offered.
The engine is a 3 cylinders, 660cc displacement, developping 52hps. All models share a same CVT gearbox. Each model can be either 2WD or 4WD.
