The long awaited new Suzuki Swift is going on sale in Japan since the beginning of January 2017. The new model will be offered under 6 different variants on the Japanese market, several of them being hybrid vehicles.
The most remarkable changes on the new face are the hexagonal honeycomb pattern front grille and the large front bumper with fog lamps on the side. The Japanese model will have a 1.0 liter 3 cylinder Boosterjet engine. Among other changes, the year 2017 model is 15% less heavy than the former Suzuki Swift. The profile remains nearly the same except a slow slope of the roofline. The rear comes with LED lights and a spoiler integrated in the roof. The dashboard is completely renewed with a large infotainment screen at the center. A sport version of the new swift should also appear later on the market.
The new Suzuki Swift will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017 for a World Debut. The new model will also be sold in India under the Suzuki Maruti brand later in 2017.
