Workshop of the SLAEAJ in Tokyo.

RamaDBK CEO, Mr Ramanayake, is also president of the Sri Lanka Automobile Exporters Association in Japan (SLAEAJ), an association of Sri Lankan vehicle exporters living in Japan.

After several events all along 2014, the SLAEAJ has organized a workshop on November 29th in the Sri Lanka Embassy in Tokyo, to share the best practices among vehicle exporters. Following the introduction speeches of Mr Ramanayake, RamaDBK president, and of Mr Premarathne, Commercial counselor at the Sri Lanka Embassy, several members have talked about their experience and their practices. After a short break, Several presentations were made about spare parts, shipping, vehicle inspections and automobile insurance by specialists in each field: Mr Shimizu from U-Parts inc, Mr Sano from Maersk shipping and Mr Anura from ADC line shipping, Mr Gunasena from USS logistics, Mr Samuel for insurance.

Sri Lanka Ambassador, Admiral [Rtd.] Wasantha Karannagoda, was very satisfied with the quality of the presentations of the SLAEAJ and has supported the idea to organize a second similar workshop in year 2015.

Beyond the management of his own company, RamaDBK president Mr Jagath Ramanayake, is a very active member of the Sri Lankan business community in Japan, regularly supporting and organizing events in professional associations.
