Sri Lanka is the biggest customer of ours. We import a large quantity of Vehicles and Spares to Sri Lanka. Rules and Regulations enforced on Vehicle imports in Sri Lanka:The motor vehicles imported to Sri Lanka can not be more than five years old and the passenger cars can not more than three years old at the time of shipment from the date of first registration. The limit for the buses are 10 years. The engine capacity of the all passenger cars ( gasoline) should be not exceed 1500cc. Diesel cars can exceed this limit with approval. The gross vehicle weight (G.V.W) all vehicles other than cars M/cycles, should be more than 1750Kgs Freight and packaging No containers are used for freight purposes in Sri Lanka for the motor vehicles. Most of the prices we quote are CIF. CIF means cost of the vehicle + Marine insurance + shipping (freight) charges. Special Package to Sri Lankans who are living in foreign countries:Sri Lankans who are living in foreign countries can purchase a vehicle from us and advice us to deliver the vehicle to their home in Sri Lanka. This package will include Customs clearance and vehicle registration and all formalities that are required before the vehicle is handed-over to the customer. Our agent in Sri Lanka will be take care of all these formalities and will deliver the vehicle to the customer's door step.
The price of the vehicle will be calculated in following manner. CIF price of the vehicle + Customs duty in Sri Lanka + Registration charges + other expenses incur in this matter.
