Rules and Regulations in Vehicle Imports to Australia:

Approval for import may be granted if one of the following conditions are met:

If the Vehicle is converted by an organization holding the appropriate approvals to meet the requirement of the National Standards (Australian Design Rules).

If the Vehicle has been owned and used in overseas for a continuous period of not less than three calendar months by a person with permanent Australian resident status.

IF the Vehicle was manufactured more than 15 years ago.

If it is a Standard Vehicle. i.e. the vehicle is fitted with an Australian Compliance plate or a Letter of Compliance has been issued by the compliance plate approval holder. (Federal Office of Road Safety, 1996) Freight and Packaging FOB (freight collect method).
